Newly discovered bands!

Don't you just love those days where you click on a video clip on youtube and it turns out to be a great song! No? Well I do, so I'm just gonna keep giving those days a lot of love!

First up, a band called Lydia. Alternative rock, but still very mellow and the singers voice is different. Maybe a bit more towards the direction of Mew and JJ72, who I've also listened to a lot. Lydia does also have a female vocalist as well. Anyway the song 'I woke up near the sea' is just beautiful, and I tend to like songs about water/ the ocean. What can I say? I'm a true Island girl!
But without further ado, here's that clip that got me hooked on the band:

Then a bit more upbeat: Kongos! I discovered this band today by also just randomly clicking on youtube music clips and again, I was immediately excited and happy! The music is just so upbeat and I like the raw music style of theirs, as well as the drums! Great music for doing some happy cleaning here, which I am going to get at as soon as this is posted.
So here is that clip:

Here's to a good weekend! *cheers*

Peace, love and stay positive!

There are many different kinds of people living in the world today. From their outer appearances to their inner selves, what they share publicly to what they keep for themselves. This is all so fascinating, as well as frustrating at times. I've had the pleasure of knowing many different types of people and I hope I will get to know even more. It helps me with understanding different points of view, and it leads to interesting conversations.
We live in a tough world; you have to look out for yourself. I've written an entire story on this just now and then I decided to delete it all again because I was going too much into the understanding of various backgrounds and personality traits and such. So I figured to keep it more simple and not to ramble on for you guys reading this. The message I want to bring forth is that we all have to gain understanding for one another. From the wallflower, to the popular ones. Everyone has their cross they have to bear and no one deserves to be treated badly. We all look the same on the inside. So I would like to end this post by saying (typing): treat others the way you want to be treated and wishing everyone peace, love and stay positive! I think this will be my motto!

From sunset to sunrise

There are things in life that make you rethink all decisions you've made. All the little stuff you worried about. All the small things that seemed to run your life. Then something big happens and you realise how stupid you've been to let these things run and ruin the precious time you have here. Why do we get caught up in things? Why do we worry so much? Why do we focus on the smallest details and thus forgetting the bigger picture? Which is to enjoy life. Just simply enjoy every bit of it. Let go of the people that are selfish and are sucking you dry. Let go of the leechers and the negative ones. Just let them fly away so you could also spread your own wings without the weights holding you on ground level.
Nothing good is ever easy, but the future you will look back and be ever so glad that you've done what had to be done in order to get the most out of your life. Because why do you bent over backwards for the heavy weights while you can fly with the weightless into a new and better day. Only you can make that happen.

Once everything is written down, it can be forgotten

There are things that happen in life, you somehow just can't get off your chest. You talk about some parts of it to loved ones, but somehow you can't go a day without thinking about it and fantasizing about different scenarios (the what ifs).
I go through this quite a bit and I have told myself to just write down the entire story with all the details, so I'd be able to move on and forget about it. Some sort of personal therapy if you will. I find it very satisfying, only my wrist doesn't agree so much and because of that it does take long to get it all on paper, but it is so worth it. I already feel more at peace and I still have so much to write.
